ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. ROBOTICS. INNOVATION
The commerce infrastructure company behind ANYWHERE launched a supplier network on October 29 that lets merchants sell wine from many licensed producers in one checkout. Its pitch to the AI era is compliance: an agent can start an order, but only a licensed seller can complete one.

No single system runs the modern vineyard. At Redwood Empire Vineyard Management, AI arrives as a stack: LiDAR-guided spraying, soil and climate sensing, and smart irrigation valves, each solving one problem.
In a region shaped by drought, three companies are turning irrigation into a data problem: Lumo's smart valves from Napa County, Fruition Sciences' sap-flow sensing, and Agrology's predictive models. The water decision is becoming a software decision.
Napa's Palmaz Vineyards built its own AI-driven fermentation monitoring from submarine sonar technology. Commercial vendors are selling smart tank sensors to the industry. But no AI cellar-analytics vendor has a documented Napa deployment. The honest map.
Vendors use these terms interchangeably. They are not interchangeable. A precise vocabulary for what the technology in Wine Country actually does, and why the distinction is this publication's credibility stake.
